Sure, we could have called this the "Pointed Longline Underbust", but where's the fun in that? Instead, it's named for the fabulous woman we first made it for. This fun lady who adores pink chose a baby pink on black cherry blossom with contrasting baby pink casings and trim. Pink satin ribbon and a brocade modesty panel bound in pink make for one very matchy-poo corset!

Plain fabrics: $300 US
Brocade and patterned fabrics: $325 US
Add contrast casings and trim: $15 US
Add matching modesty panel: $35 US

This striking corset was made for Toronto chanteuse Sonya Côté. She chose a turquoise dupioni silk shot with light bronze. The dupioni used for the casings is the exact opposite and they seemed made for each other! We matched the light bronze ribbon to the casings. This corset also features a gold busk and brass grommets to match.

The example shown below was made for a lovely lady in the UK who chose this lush green and gold cherry blossom brocade. The casings and trim are made of the same brocade and it's laced with a matching green ribbon.

The client this corset was made for enjoyed the original Ava corset so much, she said, "I'll have what she's having!" There is a removeable rosette in matching pink satin with strands of ostrich feathers for a touch of movement.

After trying on the mock-up, I was delighted to hear from my client that she wanted to send some fabric to have another made up from the same pattern as the one shown above. Each of the fabrics features an insect: the pink has large butterflies, the blue and green have smaller dragonflies. The pattern is carefully matched at both the center front and center back panels.

As the green brocade did not create as lovely a ruffle as I wanted, I found a dupioni in a close match to the green shot with a turquoise blue.
